Drunk and without a driver’s license, he crashed his car into a tree in Tulcea county. What was the driver’s blood alcohol level?

  • On May 3, 2024, around 9:30 p.m., the police from the Road Service were alerted to the fact that a road accident occurred on DJ 2229.

Following the checks carried out, the police identified the driver in a nearby field, and after testing with the breathalyzer, a value of 1.34 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air resulted, according to IPJ Tulcea.

“Following the investigations, it was established that the 30-year-old man was allegedly driving a car on the Frecăței-Tulcea road, and due to alcohol consumption, he lost control of the car and collided with a tree on the side of the road”, say the police.

The police also established the fact that he does not have a driver’s license for any category of vehicle.

In the case, a criminal case was drawn up under the aspect of committing the crimes of culpable bodily harm, driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, driving a vehicle without a driver’s license and leaving the scene of the accident.
