The dismissal comes after the press reported that the man, known in the worldly world as the “hairstylist of the stars”, has no connection to the field, and studies do not recommend him for the position.

G4Media revealed that Pascu holds a degree in Hairdressing and completed Law at Hyperion University at the age of 32. According to the CV presented by G4Media, Pascu is currently a local councilor in Sector 6, president of the PNL businessmen’s club in the same sector and a consultant to several companies.

Pascu obtained a degree in hairdressing, completed Law at a private university, was a TV presenter at Euforia TV, an entertainment station once owned by Sorin Ovidiu Vîntu. Pascu is known as the celebrity hairstylist, having numerous appearances in the tabloid press.

How PNL motivates the appointment

Asked by HotNews.ro about the appointment, PNL president Nicolae Ciucă said on Tuesday that it was the party’s choice and that Pascu has experience as an entrepreneur, and the fact that he is not related to the field is beneficial.

“It is a proposal that is made on the basis of the selection at the level of the human resource at the party level and bearing in mind that he is a member of the sector 6 branch, he is an entrepreneur, he is not related to gambling, which I think is a thing very good, was the PNL proposal. He is not in the business of barbering, I understand that he has experience in business, he has several companies. It is a choice of the PNL, this is our proposal, and at this moment the fact that he has carried out activities that have brought him a certain recognition in the field he is working in, I think is very good,” Ciucă said in Parliament on Tuesday.

PNL sources told Hotnews.ro that Pascu’s appointment was not made at the proposal of the Sector 6 organization of the PNL, but of Remus Borza, the former PNL deputy, who recently mediated the meeting between Ciucă and the businessman Dan Ostahie.

“Let me get into the groove and I’ll be at your disposal with all the details of the legislation”

Contacted by G4Media on Tuesday, Pascu was asked about the legislation that underlies the institution where he will be head. He admitted that he doesn’t know anything about it: “If you ask me to know the legislation in the field, I really can’t help you, it’s a relatively new field. Consider that the appointment was made last night, it is now 8 o’clock in the morning and this very second you are asking me to know the legislation. I was appointed there because when I was given a task I carried it through. Let me get into the bread and I’ll be at your disposal with all the details about the legislation”.

According to the most recent declaration of assets, Cristian-Gabriel Pascu owns a 500 sqm plot of land in Ilfov, a house, 128,000 dollars and has debts of 13,000 euros due this year. In 2022, Pascu had an income of 46,000 lei, meaning he would have lived on average with 3,900 lei/month.
