The Minister of Education officially announces 2 last-minute official announcements with beneficial measures for students from all over Romania, Ligia Deca saying first of all that the program The first student in the family was launched, so students will have the chance to go to university with tuition fees and more, paid by the Government.

The Minister of Education explains below how exactly this program is financed and how beneficial it is, Ligia Deca also talking about the education plans for the double major didactic license studies, how they are structured and how those who want to benefit from these programs in Romania.

“The “First student in the family” program was launched, an extra chance for young people to be supported to continue their studies at college! Today, we hosted an information session for anyone who may be eligible for this project. Funding can be obtained for activities to identify students who are at risk of not passing the baccalaureate exam, for counseling students regarding study programs in faculties or for promoting the university educational offer in schools.

This measure was foreseen in the “Educated Romania” project, later being taken up in the education laws, and now we are implementing it through European funding, to ensure that the first students in the family will have the resources and support to continue their studies and -and build a better future!

The educational plans of the undergraduate teaching degree program with double specialization are structured in such a way as to lead to graduates obtaining a number of 240 transferable credits, according to ECTS/SECT, distributed over a duration of 4 years of study. When developing educational plans, the clear definition and precise delimitation of general and specialized skills on the two specializations of the university studies license.

Ensuring the didactic character of the study program. List of specialized subjects in the double didactic bachelor’s study program specialization is made up of the lists of disciplines established by the specific standards of those two 50-50% specializations. The list of psycho-pedagogical disciplines will be established in accordance with the provisions of art. 102, para. (1) and (2) of the Higher Education Law no. 199/2023 with the amendments and subsequent additions.

Competences acquired by graduates of the double major didactic license program results from the competencies of each of the specializations grouped/joined within the program. The admission of students to the didactic bachelor’s study program with double specialization se achieves the number of seats allocated with funding from the state budget approved by the Ministry Education and on places with a fee.”
