Searches in Alexandria in connection with drug trafficking, driving without a license and driving under the influence of psychoactive substances

Today, the police officers of the Teleorman Organized Crime Service, together with the prosecutors of DIICOT – Teleorman Territorial Office, implemented a home search warrant in the city of Alexandria, in a case regarding the commission of high-risk drug trafficking, driving without a license and driving under the influence of alcohol or other substances.

From the research carried out, it emerged that, during 2023, but also in 2024, a person would have driven cars, on public roads, without holding a driver’s license issued for any category of vehicle and being under the influence of psychoactive substances.

Also, in her charge, the fact that she allegedly possessed and sold dangerous drugs (cannabis) to consumers in Teleorman county was also noted.

The hearings will be held at the headquarters of the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism – Teleorman Territorial Office.

Specialized support was provided by the Special Operations Directorate of the Romanian Police.

The action benefits from the support of fighters from the Teleorman Special Actions Service.

During the entire criminal process, the investigated persons benefit from the procedural rights and guarantees provided by the Code of Criminal Procedure, as well as the presumption of innocence.
