Sebastian Burduja (PNL) presented his plan for Bucharest. What is he going to do, if he is elected the general mayor of the Capital? The Liberal assured that his solutions are clear and tested “successfully” in other places.

What does Sebastian Burduja’s plan for the Capital look like?

Sebastian Burduja, the liberal candidate for the position of general mayor of the Capital, revealed the main points of his plan for Bucharest. With a large audience of over 1000 supporters, on Monday evening, he presented his vision for the future of Bucharest. With him were the enthusiastic supporters and the team of general advisers of the PNL.

From his point of view, the residents of the Capital should not be content to vote for the “lesser evil”, but opt for a real alternative – a leader with a clear plan, accompanied by a solid team. Its slogan is “We are changing Bucharest!”, it reflects the determination to bring about the change it promises for the city.

What does he want to do for Bucharest?

It will bring to the Capital the liberal solutions from the local administration. His solutions are clear and have been successfully tested in other places. His plan for Bucharest aims to transform the city into a safe, connected, civilized, green and digital capital.

Burduja plans to place police near schools in risk areas. He wants to rehabilitate abandoned buildings to turn them into safe spaces. It will carry out the “Bucuresti Urban Tunnel” (TUB) project, which will connect the north and south of the Capital by moving traffic underground, leaving spaces dedicated to pedestrians, green areas and bike paths on the surface.

Regarding the energy sector, the liberal proposed the merger of ELCEN with Termoenergetica and the modernization of the district heating network. Burduja proposes the use of geothermal energy to reduce maintenance costs and ensure access to heat and hot water for all residents. Moreover, he wants the expansion of green spaces. The liberal candidate also wants to turn Baneasa Forest into an urban forest-park. Moreover, he says that he wants to create a new central park by connecting the Izvor park with the Romanian Academy park through a system of suspended walkways. He also announced the launch of the “Unicorn Factory” project, an IT hub for start-ups in the heart of Bucharest, using the space of the Leonida Museum.

“Liberal solutions from the local administration, brought to the Capital. My solutions from the Plan for Bucharest are clear and successfully tested in other places that are today on the map of big cities”, he said, referring to the local administrations in Oradea, Cluj and Suceava.

“My plan for Bucharest: a safe, connected, civilized, green and digital capital. Other competitors have been preparing for months or are mayors in office and have presented nothing concrete, no project and no vision.

We will put police closer to schools in at-risk areas and rehabilitate abandoned buildings, turning them from hotbeds of crime into safe and revitalized spaces. The Bucharest Urban Tunnel” (TUB) will connect the north of the Capital with its south, moving traffic underground to leave a city for people on the surface: pedestrian areas, green spaces, bike paths.

The merger of ELCEN with Termoenergetica, the modernization of the heating network and the use of geothermal energy will help us cut maintenance costs in half and ensure constant access to heat and hot water for all Bucharest residents. We expand the green spaces and transform the Băneasa Forest into an urban forest-park. And the new Central Park, by connecting the Izvor park with the Romanian Academy park through a system of suspended walkways, creating a green oasis in the heart of the city. We are launching the “Unicorn Factory” – an IT hub for start-ups in the heart of Bucharest, using the space of the Leonida Museum”, he said.
