Dan Petrescu has returned to Cluj Napoca and will immediately start work at CFR! The 56-year-old coach has reached an agreement with the boss Nelu Varga for the new commitment, which he will sign today, and from May 1, he will practically start working for the “railroad” team, with whom he won four championships.

CFR Cluj is aiming for 2nd place at the end of the season, it is fighting with Universitatea Craiova, the two being equal on points, 37, with three rounds before the end of the play-off.

Dan Petrescu will also have a clause, in the mirror, with CFR Cluj. It will amount to 400,000 euros, like the previous one. If he leaves on his own initiative, he pays. If he is fired by the club, he gets the amount.

At the same time, for the upcoming season, the title bonus, of 200,000 euros, will be conditional on joining a European group. Being three distinct amounts, depending on the eventual qualification. The total amount would be for qualification in the Champions League groups.

However, the coach’s bonus is at least double that of the highest paid player on the team.
