President Klaus Iohannis stated, when asked about the fact that, for the third consecutive month, Romania has the highest inflation in the EU, and those from the European Commission say that the budget deficit could reach 7% of GDP at the end of this year, that despite these conditions regarding high inflation, “we had economic growth”.

“It is clear that certain measures would be very good, but they are difficult to take in an election year, but these issues are aware both at the Government and at the coalition level, and I am convinced that the recovery will be quite fast, perhaps surprisingly fast “, added the head of state.
“Now I wouldn’t want to enter the Government’s area, but even in the conditions of quite high inflation, you are right and it would be good if it came down as quickly as possible, we had economic growth.
