Four students of Economic Sciences need support in raising funds for cancer patients. One of them runs a marathon

Raluca Aldea, Lavinia Andrei, Karla Apetrei and Vanessa Doloc are second-year students at “Lucian Blaga” University in Sibiu, Faculty of Economic Sciences. The girls got involved in fundraising for the “Sus inima” Association. In this sense, Karla decided to run at the Sibiu International Marathon, which will take place between May 25 and 26.

“It is an important initiative for us and we need the support of the community. We chose Sus inima because we believe that the association’s mission, that of not leaving cancer patients alone, seems very special to us. We also want to support those who have to fight this disease that is increasingly present around us”, say the girls.

The four students set out to raise funds of 2000 lei, so any financial support, any donation, is welcome for them to complete their mission.

“One of the ways we thought of raising the money is participating in the Marathon. Karla has decided to run and will do it for the Sus Inima association, dedicating every kilometer she runs as a show of support for those affected by cancer.

Every donation, big or small, counts and will help make this project a reality. The gestures of those who will support us will be extremely valuable and will make a significant difference in the lives of those affected by cancer”, the girls say.

The project of the four students from Economic Sciences was started under the guidance of professors Dumitru Troancă and Carolina Șimbalari.
