Two 13-year-old girls were beaten, on a street in Galati, by a group of ten teenagers, the conflict starting, according to the first information, on social networks. The police were alerted by phone by the father of an assaulted teenage girl and initially opened a criminal case for hitting or other violence, and after the appearance of images filmed by a witness, the investigation was extended to disturbing the public peace. The investigators are trying to identify all the girls involved, reports News.ro.

According to the Galati IPJ, Galati Police Section 3 was informed, on Sunday, by a call to 112, by a 47-year-old man, regarding the fact that his daughter and a friend of hers, both aged 13 years, they were allegedly physically assaulted while they were in the area of ​​car garages located on Barboşi street in the municipality of Galaţi.

The police established that, against the background of a conflict arising from some contradictory discussions on a social network, the two girls were allegedly physically assaulted by several teenage girls, between the ages of 13 and 16.

According to sources close to the investigation, ten teenage girls would have jumped at the two minors who were assaulted in the middle of the street, and the basis of the conflict would have been an alleged relationship of one of them with a boy. The police are now looking to identify all the teenage girls involved in the scandal in order to establish the degree of involvement and to sanction them.

“Initially, a criminal file was drawn up for the crime of hitting or other violence, and after watching the video images that appeared in the public space, the investigation was extended to the crime of disturbing public order and peace, and the investigations are continued by the police, under the coordination of a prosecutor from the Public Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Galati District Court, in order to identify all the people who participated in this aggression, to establish the degree of involvement of each and to take the necessary legal measures”, the IPJ Galati said.
