Diana Sosoaca Reported Silvestru Sosoaca to the Police

“On April 2, 2024, the Capital Police – Section 6 was notified directly by a woman regarding the fact that her husband was aggressing her emotionally, thus creating a state of fear. At the same time, the woman stated that in the past, her husband also physically assaulted her,” the Capital Police reported.

According to sources close to the investigation, the person who made the notification is Senator Diana Șoșoacă.

The police completed the risk assessment form and issued a temporary protection order. “Also, the victim expressed her consent to the fitting of an electronic monitoring bracelet on the man’s body,” the statement said.

Because Silvestru Șoșoacă did not appear at the Police for the installation of the monitoring system, the law enforcement officers started checks to find him.

The police officers also reported ex officio about the crime of violating the measure ordered by the provisional protection order.

In the case, a criminal file was drawn up for domestic violence, more precisely the crimes of threat and harassment, under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the 2nd District Court.

Older conflict between the Sosoacă spouses

On February 24, Silvestru Șoșoacă was kicked out of the party led by his wife, SOS, at which point he threatened to divorce and take her last name.

Initially, Senator Soșoacă suspended her husband from the position of first vice-president saying that she did this “to be able to save my family”, “the soul of a man and his life”, but also “to get him out of the clutches of the services that they surrounded him”.

For his part, Silvestru Sosoacă said then that his wife’s decision was illegal. He also stated that Sosoacă wants to “control everything around her”, that she is advised by a Mossad agent and that the deterioration of the relationship between them began when Diana Sosoacă became a senator.
