One of the most successful businessmen in post-December Romania, Alexandru Alexandrov, passed away after a battle with a chronic illness.

Alex Alexandrov was a major player in the construction industry. He led the Alex Company to the heights of success.

Although he was really successful in business, for Alex Alexandrov the last months of his life were the hardest. He was forced to spend the days in bed, according to the reports of the local media, ziaruldeiasi.ro.

The businessman’s death took place on April 30.

The lifeless body of the businessman is deposited at the chapel of the Petru y Pavel Cemetery in Iași, and the funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, May 2, at 7:00 p.m.

Alexandrov entered the business in 1991

Alex Alexandrov’s first business was established in 1991 and it is SC Alex SRL, the oldest private company in Iași, but after decades of good activity it requested insolvency after the economic crisis of 2008-2012.

Over time, the company had contracts for the construction or modernization of some buildings with Iași City Hall, Petrom, the Metropolitanate of Moldova and Bucovina, the General Directorate of Customs, etc.
