Event dedicated to stray dogs that can be adopted, in Cluj tomorrow, on the International Day of Stray Animals.
The action will take place in the premises of the Center for the Treatment and Maintenance of Stray Dogs and Abandoned Animals on Bobâlnei street, 65, over two days, so that more and more people from Cluj can come into contact with them. Thus, tomorrow the carnage is open between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. and on Saturday, when it is also Oser day, the neighboring flea market, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. “The purpose of the event is to promote dog adoptions among citizens, as well as awareness sensitizing the population on how we can give abandoned animals a chance at a life in a family”, says Cluj-Napoca City Hall.
Representatives from the Federation for Animal Rights in Transylvania, animal protection associations from Cluj county – ASIPA, SIRIUS Animal Rescue, NUCA, Noah’s Ark, RAY Animal Rescue, Andreea & Benji’s Happy Dogs are also coming. Interested Cluj residents can visit the animal shelter during the event and interact with the over three hundred dogs in the shelter, and if they wish, adopt a dog. At the same time, the center’s veterinarians will offer specialized assistance to those interested in animal care, and the representatives of the associations present will offer visitors professional advice on the importance of sterilization, microchipping of dogs, as well as the negative effects of abandonment on dogs.
Adoption is free, but applicants must provide proof of a land deed – land deed, sale-purchase contract or proof of tax payment, they must also present an identity document and an employee certificate or pension coupon, or proof of any other sources of income.
