The Stihl Group is expanding its international production network and investing 125 million euros in a new production unit for battery and electric machines in Romania.

The new factory will house a battery manufacturing unit.

The start of series production is planned for September 2025. The factory will have around 700 employees by 2028.

The new factory will cover an area of ​​approximately 147,000 square meters.

Currently, the company has production facilities in seven countries: Germany, Switzerland, Austria, USA, Brazil, China and in the Philippines.

The Stihl Group develops, manufactures and distributes power tools for professional forestry and agriculture, as well as for garden maintenance and landscaping, for the construction industry and for private garden owners.

The product range is complemented by digital solutions and services.

Products are sold through authorized dealers and Stihl’s own online stores, which will be expanded internationally in the coming years – currently 42 sales and marketing branches, approximately 120 importers and more than 55,000 authorized dealers in over 160 countries .

The company founded in 1926, based in Germany, will open the new factory in Romania in Oradea, according to profit.ro.
