The accusations launched, on Wednesday morning, by Alin Nica, the current head of the CJ Timiș, of PSD pressures on the participants in an alleged debate on regionalization, scheduled in parallel with the government meeting, also at the Administrative Palace, in another room, were harshly condemned by Alfred Simonis, the social leader of the democrats from Timiș. If Nica said that those who would have participated in the debate on regionalization, but without nominating someone from those threatened or from those who uttered the threats, Simonis responds and asks for their nomination, together with their submission of a complaint to the Prosecutor’s Office, to clarify the situation.

“There are manipulations, misinformation. There was no question of another room. The prefect should have had more options than that hall, propose them and let the government decide. The “impertinence” of the CJT president, who gives the room, is ridiculous.

No one claimed anything for the meeting. The government comes at our invitation, it is a manifestation of interest towards Timiș county, no one should bow to the county. Timiş contributes enormously to the budget, and the money was not returning to TM. The signal is an auspicious one, a premiere that Nica makes dirty. He sabotages and undermines the interests of Timișoara and Timişoara. I don’t understand the demonstrations are to block the coming of the government, it won’t succeed in blocking anything. Like it or not, the government meeting is coming to TM. These actions by which they try to dirty this manifestation of returning to Timișoara will not be successful. We asked for a clean campaign, we see false accusations, plus ignorance of the laws. Nica is running a dirty campaign,” was Simonis’ response.

The government meeting, moved to a room with 28 seats?

Considering the situation created by the permanent dispute between the two political leaders, a completely surprising decision could be made for the government meeting on Thursday in Timișoara. This could be moved to Sala Video, from Timiș Prefecture, one that offers only 28 seats for occupants. The good news… would be that only ten of the government members will arrive in Timișoara “live”, the rest refusing to take part in the videoconference discussions. If you add the administrative apparatus of the meeting, the situation becomes complicated.

The government meeting will be followed by a discussion with representatives of the local business environment, after which the members of the government will fly to Bucharest.

On the list of “special” projects, which will be voted on in Thursday’s meeting, are those related to the approval of the technical-economic indicators for the new stadium, the opening of the Beba Veche – Kubekhaza border point, respectively the adoption of the investment for the Timișoara Oncology Institute.
