Police actions and checks in the last 24 hours, in Brăila. “Citizens’ safety is a priority! In this sense, the structures of the Brăila County Police Inspectorate act permanently to prevent and combat any events that may affect the peace of the community, being prepared to intervene when the situation requires it.
In the last 24 hours, the police acted throughout the county to prevent antisocial acts, organizing 21 actions and intervened in 30 events, 27 of which were reported by citizens through 112.
For the detected irregularities, the police applied 414 contraventional sanctions, in a total amount of over 136,000 lei, and as a complementary measure they detained 19 driving licenses and lifted 4 registration certificates in order to suspend the exercise of the right to drive.
Also yesterday, as part of the BLOCADA action, organized by the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, to prevent/combat risk situations and maintain an optimal climate of order and public safety, the current devices were supplemented.

On March 31 this year, between 06:30 and 08:30, the police officers from the Road Bureau organized and carried out a large-scale action in the municipality, to reduce road risk, prevent road accidents and detect people driving under the influence of alcohol or prohibited substances.
Thus, 116 people were registered and checked in the E-DAC application, 112 vehicles were controlled and 98 drivers were tested with the devices provided.
In this way, we remind you that, from the night of March 30 to 31, 2024, the E-DAC application was operationalized, through which the police will be able to carry out checks in the field more quickly, checks that were carried out until now through dispatch centers or stations of broadcast reception, and in the event that tracked, missing persons, involved in the commission of various crimes, stolen vehicles, which have been impounded in other situations will be detected, the legal measures that are required in such of cases.

On March 31 this year, between the hours of 06:00-14:00, police officers from the Road Service carried out an action to prevent the reduction of road risk, detect motor vehicle drivers under the influence of alcohol or psychoactive substances and to combat stops/ irregular parking.
60 contravention sanctions were applied for the detected irregularities in the amount of 14,850 lei, of which 5 for alcohol, 30 for irregular stops, 6 for pedestrian violations and the rest for other violations.
The police officers performed 150 tests with the devices provided. All the people stopped by the police were checked in the E-DAC application.
Thus, at 08:40, the police checked in traffic a driver who had stopped the vehicle in the area of ​​the “No Stopping” indicator on the Râmnicu-Sărat Highway. Being identified, it was established that he is a 36-year-old man from Brăila. After checking in the E-DAC application, the application returned a positive HIT in the sense that the man in question was registered in the Automated National Register of persons who have committed sexual crimes and an alert was issued on his name. He was taken to the headquarters of the Brăila Municipality Police to take legal measures.

As part of the actions, at 11:40 p.m., police officers from the Brăila Municipal Police – Road Bureau stopped a 24-year-old man from Brăila in traffic while he was driving a car on Buzăului Road.
He was tested with the breathalyzer, the result being zero. It was also tested with the drugtest device, which resulted in indications of a possible presence of psychoactive substances.
We mention that this is not evidence in the criminal case, the person being taken to the hospital for the collection of biological samples, in order to accurately establish the consumption of prohibited substances.
In the case, a criminal case was drawn up under the aspect of committing the crime of driving a vehicle under the influence of psychoactive substances.

In the time interval 09:00-12:30, police officers from the Brăila Municipality Police supported by gendarmes and local police acted in an integrated system in the area of ​​the markets in the municipality of Brăila and shopping centers, in order to prevent antisocial acts, prevent street crimes, detect crimes regarding fishing and aquaculture as well as for increasing the degree of safety of citizens.
In this context, 45 people were registered, 25 vehicles were controlled and café-bar-type public catering units were checked and drivers were tested with the devices provided.
9 contraventional sanctions were applied, amounting to 4,590 lei.
