Problems with the law for two drivers: One was found under the influence of prohibited substances, another had a criminal record

Police officers from the Brașov County Police Inspectorate are conducting investigations in two criminal cases, which they opened after they identified, at the wheel of the cars, two men who tested positive for the consumption of alcohol and psychoactive substances. On Monday afternoon, around 5:30 p.m., while performing the monitoring and control service on road traffic, the policemen from the Brașov Road Service stopped, for control, a car traveling on Alexandru cel Bun street.

During the check, because they noticed that the 20-year-old man behind the wheel was exhibiting a specific behavior, the police tested him for the consumption of prohibited substances. The test result indicated the presence of psychoactive substances in the body, and because this is not evidence in the criminal case, the young man was taken to an authorized medical facility, where biological samples were taken, the analysis of which will reveal with certainty the presence in the body of prohibited substances.

On Sunday evening, at around 11.50 pm, on Zaharia Bârsan street, in the town of Sânpetru, Brașov county, the police officers from the Brașov Municipality Police – Traffic Bureau, stopped, for control, a car driven by a 38-year-old man . During the control performed, because they noticed signs of the consumption of alcoholic beverages, the police tested the man from this point of view. Because the result indicated a value of 0.59 mg/l of pure alcohol in the breath, the man he was taken to an authorized medical facility, where biological samples were taken, the analysis of which will determine with certainty the blood alcohol level.
