Iași City Hall has concluded the 2023 – 2024 heating season. According to the normative acts in force, the heating is stopped after three consecutive days in which the average outdoor air temperature exceeds 10 degrees Celsius between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
Under these conditions, starting on Tuesday, April 2, the legal conditions for declaring the closure of the heating season are met.
Customers of the centralized heat supply system (hospitals, school units, companies, individuals) can still benefit from heat, but only on the basis of a request to the municipality. The priority remains the supply of the thermal agent to hospitals and other beneficiary institutions, depending on their option.
Hot water will be provided for all customers.
22,706 apartments, 176 economic agents and 132 public institutions are connected to the centralized heating system in the Municipality of Iasi, of which 72 schools with 106 related buildings (over 90% of the pre-university education network), nine hospitals and part of the university buildings .
