Florin Piersic, emergency operation! The actor is admitted to the orthopedic ward of the Military Hospital in Cluj, after being diagnosed with an infection located at the level of the knee.
The surgical intervention was carried out successfully, being performed by one of the most respected orthopedic doctors, Claudiu Chitea, an outstanding expert in the field of orthopedics, with recognition at the local level.
Sources told foiatransilvania.ro that the actor’s condition deteriorated rapidly after a show. He was rushed to the hospital, the doctors confirmed the presence of an infection, which was later located at the level of one of the knees.
In recent years, the Cluj-Napoca Military Hospital has become an elite clinic within the Romanian medical system. State-of-the-art medical equipment has been introduced here. Also, the team of doctors has been strengthened by the addition of well-known names in various medical fields.
The actor had his last performance on April 6
On a national tour with one of his most popular shows, “Străini în noapte”, Florin Piersic gave his last performance on April 6, 2023, on the occasion of World Theater Day, in Sibiu, on the stage of the Radu Stanca theater. Next, the show was scheduled to be presented in Cluj. However, health problems intervened, causing his suspension.
“It was a joy to meet on the occasion of World Theater Day. Together with Constantin Chiriac and Constantin Necula,” the actor wrote on Facebook.
The show, in which he shares the stage with his younger partner, Medeea Marinescu, and which is directed by the late Radu Beligan, is among the most appreciated productions of recent years. He had closed-house performances on all stages in Romania, from the National Theater in Bucharest to the National Theater in Timișoara.
