Shocking case in Neamț county, where a two-year-old child was found dead after falling into a basin of water. The little boy drowned, his lifeless body being discovered by his mother and grandmother in the yard of the household.

The tragedy took place on Sunday, March 31, in the town of Gândiți, in Neamț County. The little one was in the yard playing. The boy’s mother and grandmother were also here. In a moment of inattention, the child fell face down into the basin full of water.

He was seen much too late by the family. The grandmother, aged 53, called 112, while the mother tried to revive him. An ambulance arrived at the scene, and resuscitation maneuvers were carried out by medical personnel.

Unfortunately, the child could not be saved. The law enforcement officers also arrived at the scene to conduct investigations. In this case, a criminal case was opened for manslaughter, according to representatives of the Neamț County Police Inspectorate.

Before the parents realized what had happened, it was already far too late. They called 112 announcing that the little one had consumed that solution, but the medical team that arrived at the stable could not do anything to save him.
