The world of the Nordic countries is revealed in the Nordix festival, in Bucharest – Ziarul Metropolis

Found in the first edition, NORDIX Festival – Enchanting Aurora, A Nordic Cultural Expedition offers the public a kaleidoscopic cultural experience, bringing together in the spotlight Bucharest’s Nordic cinema, often appreciated and awarded at the most important film festivals, literature for all ages where, once again, important names have established themselves worldwide, but also the systems and the social mechanisms that stood out as true pioneers in the fields addressed.

The festival also wants to facilitate the dialogue and exchange of experience between the Nordic countries and Romania, through a series of debates that will discuss topics such as: education, inclusion, innovation, preservation of cultural heritage and green transition.

“The project aims to increase the visibility and appreciation of Nordic culture among the public, encouraging intercultural understanding, promoting creativity and innovation and stimulating the public to delve deeper into the various facets of Nordic culture,” says ES Ms. Siri Barry, Ambassador of Norway, country coordinating the project.

Movies (including for children) will run at Cinema Elvire Popesco and Cinema Union. A number of unconventional venues will host the other events.

NORDIX Festival – Enchanting Aurora, A Nordic Cultural Expedition is an initiative of the Embassy of Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden in Romania, as well as the Consulate of Iceland in Bucharest. The project is organized with the support of the Enkidu Association and receives funding from the Nordic Council of Ministers.
