The Cluj County Council approved the technical-economic indicators and the project aimed at rehabilitating, modernizing, expanding and equipping the Outpatient Clinic of the Cluj-Napoca Clinical Recovery Hospital.

“I believe that it is absolutely necessary to invest in this elite medical institution at the national level, especially since we are talking about the only hospital with a multidisciplinary recovery profile in Transylvania and one of only two in the country. The investment will bring numerous benefits both for the tens of thousands of patients treated on an outpatient basis, and for the staff serving our Recovery Hospital”, said Alin Tișe, president of the Cluj County Council.

The works proposed to be carried out by means of the investment consist of raising, expanding, refurbishing and modernizing the C13 M Building – Laboratories, changing the destination to an Integrated Outpatient Clinic and implementing hyperbaric therapy.

Also, it is planned to create new spaces to decongest the existing functions on the ground floor and the 1st floor of the main building of the hospital, but also a better distribution of circulations/flows at the level of the health institution subordinated to the Cluj County Council. The new premises will ensure proper functioning of the Integrated Outpatient Clinic, in a modern space, oriented towards the comfort and safety of patients and the quality of the medical act.

At the same time, it is proposed to build a walkway that will connect the main body of the hospital to the C13 body, where the new location of the Outpatient Clinic will be.

The works will be carried out in two stages: in the first stage, the spaces necessary for the installation and operation of the hyperbaric chamber will be arranged, which will be purchased by the Cluj County Council as part of a project with European funding, through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, and in the stage of two, the extension and storey works of the C13 body, the exterior arrangements, etc., will be executed.

The project has a total value of 36,690,581.59 lei, including VAT, and is to be submitted for financing through the Health Program.
