Lükssan works in a factory in Alba County and came to Romania precisely from Sri Lanka. Although he confesses that he does not understand very well what is being said, the man is impressed by the ritual of Catholic services and loves coming to church.

Pious, with his hands clasped for a prayer known only to him, Lükssan says that he comes every Sunday to pray to Christ: “I think that here in the Church we receive the blessing and I like to participate in the services. In Sri Lanka we used to go to such prayer services and we never missed church on any Sunday”.

Maundy Thursday of the Catholics is a day of great significance, which for Christians also represents the Last Supper of the Lord Jesus Christ. An important ritual took place in all Catholic cathedrals, the washing of the feet. The priests reproduced the scene in which the Savior washed the feet of the 12 disciples.

In this way, Jesus gave mankind an example of love and modesty, even before he was crucified on the cross, Maundy Thursday being one of the most important days of the Passion Week. On Saturday evening, the Resurrection Service will be celebrated, and on Sunday, the Roman Catholics will celebrate Easter.
