Very good results obtained by three of the 15 high school students from the county, who represented the county at the national stage of the Informatics Olympiad. They obtained two silver and one bronze medals. They all train at the Vaslui County Center of Excellence and are included in the “Come to the Olympics” Program.

Computing is one of the strengths of Vaslui high school students. It is proved by the very good result obtained by them at the national stage of the Informatics Olympiad, organized by the School Inspectorate of Bucharest, last week (April 23-28). Specifically, three of the 15 high school students who represented the county were awarded prizes and mentions. It is about students from Vaslui, trained in the County Center of Excellence and included in the “Come to the Olympics” Program.

The best students from the national phase are:

• Andrei Cristian Turcu (twelfth grade, “Mihail Kogălniceanu” Vaslui Theoretical High School, tutors Prof. Florica Ciurescu and Vlad-Laurentiu Nicu) – mention of the Ministry of Education and silver medal;

• Ionuț Cristian Toma (12th grade, “Emil Racoviță” Vaslui Theoretical High School, teacher Dan Pracsiu) – silver medal;

• George Alexandru Tănăsucă (12th grade, “Emil Racoviță” Vaslui Theoretical High School, teacher Dan Pracsiu) – bronze medal.

“The Informatics Olympiad is aimed at students and teachers who want to achieve, for whom Informatics means passion, creativity and a desire for knowledge! In the high school section, at the national stage of the Olympiad, four students qualified with first place in the county and 11 qualified through the national ranking. The national phase took place between April 23-28, in Bucharest. Congratulations to all the participating students and the guiding teachers for the result achieved!”, the officials of the Vaslui County School Inspectorate sent.

• Diana-Delia Dorneanu (12th grade, National College “Gheorghe Roșca Codreanu” Bârlad);

• Andrei Puică (11th grade, Vaslui “Emil Racoviță” Theoretical High School);

• Andreea Clapa (11th grade, “Mihail Kogălniceanu” Theoretical High School Vaslui);

• Robert Ionuț Dumitru (11th grade, Vaslui “Emil Racoviță” Theoretical High School);

• Denis-Teodor Ciovnicu (11th grade, “Nicolae Iorga” Negresti Technological High School);

• Alexandru Daniel Gheorghică (11th grade, “Emil Racoviță” Theoretical High School Vaslui);

• Matei Gabriel Luca (10th grade, “Emil Racoviță” Theoretical High School Vaslui);

• Vlad Cristian Apopuțoaie (10th grade, “Emil Racoviță” Theoretical High School Vaslui);

• Ștefan Puică (9th grade, Theoretical High School “Emil Racoviță” Vaslui);

• Tudor Cocu (9th grade, “Mihail Kogălniceanu” Theoretical High School Vaslui);

• Rareș George Sava (9th grade, “Mihail Kogălniceanu” Theoretical High School Vaslui).
