Temperatures of almost 30 degrees Celsius at the end of the week. It could be the hottest March weekend in 72 years

The hottest March weekend of the last 72 years in Romania is coming. Meteorologists are predicting temperatures of up to 29 degrees this weekend in some areas of the country.

“The weather continues to warm up in the coming days. We expect the warmest to be in the southern part of the country, but temperatures above 20 – 22 degrees will be on the weekend in all regions of the country, reaching up to 28 – 29 degrees, most likely in Muntenia, Oltenia, in the continental part of Dobrogea”, explained Florinela Georgescu, director of the ANM.

The meteorologist also added that “the maximums in the coastal area will be between 16 and 21 degrees, but not only will the days be very hot, but also the temperatures during the night will increase”.

As for the beginning of April, average temperatures will be higher than normal for this period, throughout the country, but especially in the intra-Carpathian regions.

The rainfall regime will be close to normal for this interval in most of the country.

The weather in the week of 08.04.2024 – 15.04.2024

The average air temperature will have values ​​generally close to normal for this period, throughout the country. Precipitation amounts will generally be close to normal for this range in all regions.

The weather in the week of 15.04.2024 – 22.04.2024

Average thermal values ​​will be close to the specific ones for this week, throughout Romania. The rainfall regime will be slightly excessive, locally, in the central and eastern regions, and otherwise it will be close to normal for this period.
