George Simion, the president of the AUR, came up with a radical proposal at the “Make Europe Great Again” International Conference held at the Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest.
What proposal did George Simion come up with
His proposal was to sign a joint memorandum in which all conservative and sovereignist parties in the European Union would assume that they would not support Ursula von der Leyen for a new mandate as head of the European Commission.
At the end of the conference, George Simion explained that he made this proposal seriously and hopes that the representatives of the present parties will support it and take it further to the steering committees of their own formations.
He pointed out that Ursula von der Leyen has brought a lot of harm to the European Union and its citizens with her policy on vaccines, managing the pandemic, introducing green certificates and promoting the new green deal. That is why he considers it imperative to stop its rise and not let it rule the destinies of Europe. George Simion has harshly criticized politicians such as Biden, Von der Leyen and Macron, whom he considers to be shallow, corrupt, deceitful and dictatorial.
He argued that it is time for the conservative movement in Europe to join forces to counter these trends and help states get out of this situation.
According to the AUR, the event was attended by, among others, the President of the National Management Council of the AUR, Claudiu Târziu, as well as international representatives such as Dr. Robert Malone, Sherronna Bishop, MEPs Nicolas Bay and Ryszard Czarnecki, Morten Messerschmidt, the president of the Danish People’s Party, Bruce LeVell, representative of the Trump administration, and Eduardo Verastegui, founder and president of the “Viva Mexico Movement”.
What Simion’s party would like to do in Ukraine
According to Ukrainian media, there are speculations about the possibility that the party led by George Simion will launch “anti-Ukrainian information challenges” regarding the supposed oppression to which Romanians in Ukraine would be subjected. Also, according to these sources, it is suggested that a Bulgarian party would intend to carry out similar actions in the Odesa area, and the coordination of these two operations would come directly from the Kremlin.
According to the Ukrainian publication kyivpost.com, which cites sources from the Main Directorate of Intelligence (HUR) of the Ministry of Defense in Kyiv, the Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) is presented as a “pro-Russian Romanian party”. It is claimed that this party would soon initiate “a series of anti-Ukrainian information challenges”. The purpose of these actions would be to present an alleged oppression to which the Romanians in Ukraine would be subjected.
