PHOTO OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT Romania has exceeded the psychological threshold for the number of kilometers of highway and expressway

Romania has, as of today, more than 1,091 km of highway and express road in circulation, announced the Minister of Transport.

Currently, contracts for the construction of another 729 km of high-speed road are being implemented (design and execution) and contracts for another 203 km have been tendered.

Traffic on the Expressway that provides the connection between the Oradea Ring Road and the Transilvania Highway was opened today.

The road, 19 km long, cost 546 million lei (without VAT).

The general director of CNAIR confirmed that, in the future, this road sector will be added to the Arad-Oradea expressway on the high-speed corridor that will ensure the road connection between the Baltic Sea, the Black Sea and the Adriatic Sea.

Pistol also states that, for the execution of the Arad – Oradea Expressway (121 km), the contract was launched in the auction and is now in the phase of preparing offers.
