CARAŞ-SEVERIN – For needy families in the villages of Caraş-Severin and Timiș, the Easter Bunny will come earlier. Volunteers from Home in Banat will offer packages with food, sweets and hygiene products!
It has already become a tradition that, around the holidays, those from Home in Banat to start “Gift from Gift for the Holidays”a campaign that every time brings that dram of hope and joy to many hard-hit families, lonely and sick old people and, above all, to the needy children who are waiting impatiently Easter bunny. Volunteers will distribute packages with food, sweets and hygiene products in several VILLAGES FROM Caras-Severin and Timis. More than 100 packages will be offered around the Easter holidays, say the representatives of the association. “Those who want to contribute can do so donation account Association Home in Banatmentioning the name of the campaign: «But from Dar». We will purchase non-perishable basic foods from the donated money, especially canned meat, vegetables, compotes, but also oil, sugar, corn and rice, fruit, potatoes, but also hygiene products and some sweets, and we will take them to the families in difficulty.”, stated the volunteers from Home in Banat.
“We do our best to find the most needy families. Sometimes, desperate cases. Unfair, heartbreaking life stories. We could call them all to the center of the village and distribute their packages. We don’t do that. We go to their house, whatever that house looks like. And often the living conditions are dire. We enter, see, feel, for a moment, life through their eyes. It is important for us to know, understand and show you, even if only through photos, the reality on the edge of reality. Because it is very different, unfair, harsh. But, at the end – but from the gift – liberation also comes: the joy of the meeting, the tears, the thanks. The satisfaction of doing good. Meeting warm people who also enjoy the gift, they also enjoy us, that we stopped to say hello and listen to them. Let’s show them we care.
