A “fish” and his girlfriend from Alba, sentenced to prison with execution. They forced a minor to prostitute herself on the city belt

A man and a woman from Alba will go to prison, after they forced a minor to prostitute themselves, on the belt in Alba Iulia and in Bărăbanț train station.

Although the facts happened in 2017, a final conviction came only on March 26, 2024, at the Alba Iulia Court of Appeal.

The two, Teodor NC and Raluca MH, tried to change the sentence, on appeal, at the higher court in Alba Iulia. But the magistrates rejected their request, and the sentence from the substantive court, the Alba Iulia Court, remained final.

What the prosecutors found in the indictment

The two took advantage of the minor who was in a delicate situation and forced her to prostitute herself at a boarding house in Alba Iulia, but also in the area of ​​the city’s ring road.

While the woman watched over the girl, the man looked for clients.

On July 5, 2023, the two were sentenced to life imprisonment. Recently, the court’s reasoning became public, being available on the rejust.ro portal.

According to the reasoning of the court, in fact, “between June and July 2017, the defendants coerced the minor to practice prostitution in several locations on the Alba Iulia area, they facilitated her practice of prostitution by providing protection and finding customers and locations and obtained patrimonial benefits from this activity.

Thus, taking advantage of the fact that the minor had no place to live and no source of income, the defendants allowed her to stay in their home and determined her to practice prostitution in order to obtain money.

During the time that the injured person lived with the two defendants, the defendant slapped the minor in the face in order to make her continue the prostitution activity.

The evidence administered in the case reveals that all the sums of money obtained by the minor as a result of the practice of prostitution were handed over to the defendant, who ensured her protection, in particular, at the railway station in Bărăbanţ and on the ring road of the municipality of Alba Iulia, and these sums of money have were used to ensure the daily living of the defendants, the minor and the defendant’s three children, as well as to pay for the accommodation at a motel where the minor was forced to prostitute herself”, the court’s reasoning states.

During the investigation, the two tried to contact the victim not to make statements to the investigators, but the girl did not agree.

After the prosecutors sent them to court, the case went to the Alba Iulia Court, where the magistrates found them guilty.

How long will the two stay behind bars

The magistrates of the Alba Iulia Court of Appeal rejected the appeal of the two. As a result, the trial court sentence became final.

For their actions, the man received a sentence of 5 years and 3 months in prison with execution in detention. He also had other active convictions.

The woman was sentenced to 6 years and 9 months in prison for the crime of pimping.

The victim, who became an adult in the meantime, had no civil claims against the two.
