ACS Viitorul Târgu Jiu recorded yet another failure at home, this time against a team already relegated to League 3. It is CS Tunari, the team that ticked off the first victory in Târgu Jiu in the play-out of League 2.
CS Tunari, already relegated, prevailed with a score of 2-1 in the away game from Târgu Jiu, in front of the Vâlcena team ACS Viitorul, formerly ACS Şirineasa, and registered the first victory in the play-out of League 2. Unfortunately for Dan Alexa and his team’s first victory came too late to hope for rescue from relegation.
The Ilfov team, coached by Dan Alexa, opened the scoring in the 21st minute, with Dragoș Gheorghe’s shot from 12 meters, at the end of the bars, and Mirko Ivanovski could have made it 2-0 in the 28th minute, but hit the crossbar, from only 6 meters. The original team from Vâlcea, ACS Viitorul, apathetic in the first half hour, equalized in the 36th minute, after a corner executed by Gîrbiță and succeeded by Denis Brînzan, with a shot from the small box, after goalkeeper Mărgarit had rejected the ball sent with the head of Bîrzu.
In the 58th minute, Valentin Borcea brought his team back to the advantage, with a free kick from 25 meters, which surprised goalkeeper Krupenschi.
Călin Cojocaru’s students remembered only in the extra time of the match that the summer vacation had not yet come and had two good opportunities to equalize, with Andreaș’s shot and Moisie’s header, both saved by the goalkeeper.
At the end, the table showed the score of 1-2 and CS Tunari won at Târgu Jiu, although the match was no longer at stake!
