The PNL administration from Tulcea has attracted the most European funds so far. We are talking about contracts already in progress worth almost 100 million euros. Other projects, worth over 100 million euros, are under evaluation.
“The city is in the construction site because we are working well and doing work that has been delayed for years. They are streets that have never been paved, not connected to utilities, which we have modernized. European money is not attracted to those who do not know how to use it. They are afraid to attract the funds”, declared Mayor Ștefan Ilie in the show Caravana 100% for Romania.
“A new ship purchased for the transport of people, which arrives today, for Tulceni and tourists, is an investment of 350,000 euros, European funds. It is a 50-seater catamaran, equipped with all modern facilities. The pontoons will also be modernized with European money,” he added.

In terms of attracting tourists, the local administration is working on a complete tourist experience in Tulcea: they have thought of complete routes, with visits to the port and the seafront, to the multi-ethnic villages, in the Danube Delta. It is unfortunate that no cruise ships will dock at the port this year. The reason is the tourists’ fear of war, they prefer to dock at Brăila, for example, from where tourists are brought by buses to the Delta.
Tulcea will have a tourist promotion and information center for tourists, and the mayors of Tulcea and the county will work to attract Romanians and foreigners to this area.

The liberals hope to win through George Şișcu and the County Council, to team up with the liberal mayor in attracting funds, tourists and private investments in this county. Şișcu states that the problem of modernizing the Constanța – Tulcea road must be solved, among other things, like other roads in the county, which would make it easier for tourists to travel throughout the county.
In Tulcea, the Ilie administration started many investments in this mandate, and this created discomfort for the people of Tulcea. There are students who were moved to other schools in order to rehabilitate the ones where they were studying, there are streets in the construction site, but the local authorities say that they were urgent works, postponed for years.
More than 50 km of streets are now under rehabilitation projects, with the entire infrastructure changed, including redone rainwater and sewerage. The public lighting network is passed underground. In addition, attempts are made to eliminate unsightly cables.
There are more than 20 large investment projects underway in Tulcea at the moment, including the rehabilitation of blocks, the modernization of parks, the construction of new ones, such as the new gravity park, which Tulcea City Hall will soon open.
In partnership with Ocolul silvic, a tourist route was organized in the forest, a place where events are organized that bring many participants.
And the Sports Hall in the city is being rehabilitated. It is a project of the National Investment Company.
“The role of the private investor in the city is a major one. And the local administration must know how to attract private investors”, says Şișcu.
He is a candidate from the PNL for the County Council, from this position he will team up with the liberal mayor Ștefan Ilie, for the development of the county.
“We want the Tulcea-Constanța expressway project to be completed as soon as possible, which has been taking 4 years to receive funding. We also want investments in the Tulcea Airport, for which we, the liberals, fought,” says deputy Michael Gudu.
And in the county, PNL Tulcea appointed candidates for mayor who know how to develop communities. Marian Ilie is the PNL candidate for the Luncavița City Hall, the man who for 17 years has been attracting European funds for his town, which looks like in the West, thanks to this invested money: “We have exceeded 25 million euros in European funds attracted. The money went to rehabilitate the streets, sewerage, water treatment.”
