Chicken lice are small parasites that can affect the health of chickens. These insects, also known in scientific terms as Dermanyssus Gallinae, feed on blood at night when the birds are sleeping. These parasites usually do not affect humans or other household animals, but they can reduce egg production and make hens sick.
