Daniel Baciu, message for all Romanian pensioners: “Let’s start printing the decisions!”

One thing pensioners need to know is that after the recalculation, no pension will be reduced.

“For recalculation, there is a clear article in the law that when, following the recalculation of a pension, a lower score comes out, the amount in payment is kept.

What I would like to remember from the appearance of these rules is that we, the Ciolacu Government, are extremely determined that from September 1st our seniors will receive their pensions according to the law”, explained Marius Budăi on Antena 3 CNN.

Increases and non-permanent incomes will be taken into account

And from September, increases and non-permanent incomes will be taken into account when paying the pension.

“There is also a novelty in the new pension law, the fact that those gross incomes that also include non-permanent increases, and here I am referring to the 13th salary, the global agreement, various bonuses and increases that they received sporadically in activity and did not have that permanent character, month after month.

These increases are currently not taken into account, because they do not have this frequency of a permanent nature, and we intend to take them into account from September 1st when calculating pensions, provided that these increases have been due and to have paid social insurance contributions”, declared the head of the National Public Pensions House (CNPP).

“We established the new form of the retirement decision”

This time, Daniel Baciu spoke, on a television station, about the latest changes regarding the new form of retirement decisions.

The Head of the Pension House explained that a decision has already been sent to the Official Gazette and a strict schedule is to be followed regarding the changes in the pension system.

“By order of the president, I established the new form of the retirement decision, which fully complies with the provisions of law 360/2023. It will probably be published in the Official Gazette these days.

We have sent this new format of retirement decisions to the Official Gazette. We are on a straight line, we have a very tight schedule, we stick to it, we know exactly what we have to do, we have absolutely no delays, so that in September our retired beneficiaries will already receive their recalculated pensions.

I can’t say exactly when we start, sometime in the summer. It depends on how quickly we mobilize with the software that recalculates these pensions. We will immediately proceed to print these decisions.

Until September. They must be issued, printed and sent to pensioners”, he said on Romania TV.

Daniel Baciu said a few days ago that the evaluation process is 99.9% complete.

“We already have the evaluation process completed 99.9 percent. We still have 150 thousand files out of 1.4 million. The evaluation process will be completed. Colleagues make the software, we issue the coupons”, said the head of the CNPP.
