The financing contract for the school campus on the former Tursib base will be signed on Friday

The contract for the financing of the school campus for dual education, promised by the local authorities on the land of the former Tursib base on Calea Dumbrăvii Street, will be signed this week, Mayor Astrid Fodor announced.

The announcement was made during today’s meeting of the local council, following a question addressed by councilor Ionuț Ghişe.
“The past few days, the PUZ for the campus for dual education on the former Tursib base was discussed. Considering that it is a long-awaited project, I ask you what is the status of the financing of this campus and if there is any other relevant information about this project”, the councilor asked.

Mayor Fodor replied that the first step will be taken during the visit of the Minister of Education. “On March 29, the Minister of Education will come and the financing contract will be signed. In the meantime, all procedures will be carried out according to the law – the feasibility study, the technical project, the contracting of the execution. The most important moment is now, the signing of the financing contract”, explained Fodor.

ULBS representatives also confirmed the presence of the Minister of Education in Sibiu for the signing of the contract. They announced that the event will take place at 16:00, in the University Senate Hall. The Minister of Culture, Raluca Turcan, will also be present at the signing ceremony of the financing contract dedicated to the construction of the Integrated Campus for dual education – PRODUAL.

The project represents a pilot program for the development of integrated consortia for dual education, supported by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), Pillar VI/ Policies for the new generation. The initiator of this project is the Consortium for dual-PRODUAL education, formed by “Lucian Blaga” University from Sibiu, as the leader of the partnership, Sibiu City Hall, “Nicolae Bălcescu” Land Forces Academy, Sibiu County School Inspectorate, Technological High School “Avram Iancu “Sibiu, “Henri Coandă” Technological High School Sibiu, Sibiu Energetic Technical College, “George Barițiu” Economic College Sibiu, “Terezianum” Sibiu Food Industry Technological High School, “School of National Gas” Mediaș, Mediaș Automecanica Technological High School, Compa SA , SC Automecanica Mediaș SRL, Continental Automotive Systems SRL Sibiu, Marquardt Schaltsysteme SCS, ODU Romania Manufacturing SRL Sibiu, SC Solina Romania SRL, as partners.

We specify that Ligia Deca is expected in Sibiu at the end of the week, where she was also invited to the Performance Gala in pre-university education, organized by CJ Sibiu.

We remind you that the “Lucian Blaga” University in Sibiu has started the procedures and announced to the public about the intention to draw up the Zonal Urban Plan for the project to build an “Integrated dual-product education campus” on Calea Dumbrăvii, at no. 133-135.

The largest building will include a multifunctional space and a classroom, with a ground floor height regime. Next comes a Building A, with educational spaces, arranged on the ground floor plus a first floor. It will be connected to Body B, which includes a canteen and a library, also P+1 regime. Last but not least, Body D will accommodate a dormitory on three floors. Between the first buildings there will be a parking lot with 140 spaces, and a small park will be built near the hostel, next to which there will be two sports fields. All bordered by a new road, with one lane each way, cycle path and sidewalk.
