SuperLiga: FCSB vs Farul – A point as much as a championship

FCSB – Farul, a match counting for the 7th stage of the Romanian championship play-off, is scheduled for Saturday, April 27, from 8:30 p.m., at the National Arena in Bucharest, and will be broadcast live by Digi Sport 1, Orange Sport 1 and Prima Sport 1.

FCSB needs only one point to become champions and to win their first title after a nine-year break, in front of those from Farul, who are fighting for a place in the Conference League, in the ranking derby of of the 7th stage of the SuperLiga play-off.

FCSB is the leader, with 46 points, 11 over Farul and 12 over Universitatea Craiova and CFR Cluj, and is the only team without defeat in the play-off, with four wins and two ties, and in the previous stage it drew Sepsi’s field, score 2-2.

Farul occupies the 2nd place, with 35 points, one more than the University of Craiova and CFR Cluj, and comes after four victories, a draw and a defeat recorded in this play-off, and in the last round it prevailed at home, score 3-1 with Rapid.

The team coached by Gică Hagi is undefeated away from home in this play-off, 2-1 with Rapid, 1-1 with Sepsi and 2-1 with Universitatea Craiova (in the regular season it ticked off six successes, three draws and six failures on foreign grounds ), and its top scorer is Louis Munteanu, with 10 successes in the SuperLiga.

Farul has three wins in a row in the championship, the last two being more than spectacular, 5-1 against CFR and 3-1 against Rapid, both at home, and is the most offensive team in the play-offs, with 13 goals scored in six stages !

FCSB dominated the direct matches with Farul in the current championship edition, 1-0 in the round, away (Olaru 58p), and 1-1 in the return, at home (Cr. Ganea 55a / Larie 90+5p) – in the regular season, and 1-0 at Ovidiu in the play-off (Shoot 82).
