ACTIONS TO COMBAT ILLEGAL FACTS IN THE FIELD OF FORESTRY AND FISHERIES

During the past week, Vrânce police acted together with the representatives of several competent institutions, to prevent and combat forestry crimes and carried out several controls, throughout the county, irregularities in the forestry regime were found and contraventional sanctions were applied, in the amount of 18,000 lei, the total amount of 20 cubic meters of wood being confiscated.

Thus, during March 22-24, at certain time intervals, the policemen of the Golesti Rural Police Section 1 acted with increased numbers, together with policemen from the Public Order Service, the Economic Crime Investigation Service, representatives of RAR Vrancea, forestry specialists, from the Focșani Forest Guard and the Focșani Forest Circle. Following the 131 checks carried out, 181 people were identified and 94 vehicles checked.

For the detected irregularities, 63 contraventions were applied, in a total amount of over 48,500 lei, of which 14 for the violation of Law 61/1991 for the sanctioning of acts of violation of certain rules of social coexistence, public order and tranquility, 6 – Law 171 /2010 regarding the establishment and sanctioning of forestry offences, 31- GEO 195/2002 regarding traffic on public roads, 4 – OG 28/1999 regarding the obligation of economic operators to use electronic fiscal marking devices, 6 – OG 23/2008 regarding fishing and aquaculture , 2 – other normative acts. As complementary measures, 5 registration certificates were withdrawn and wooden material worth over 16,000 lei was confiscated.

On Saturday, March 23, between 17:00 and 23:00, at the level of Section 3 of the Vidra Rural Police, an action was organized with increased forces, forestry representatives and ITM Vrancea. 103 checks were carried out (1 in the forest fund, 93 on public roads, 5 in bars and 4 in game rooms). 128 people were registered and 93 vehicles were controlled. The police found 76 violations of the law, for which they applied sanctions totaling over 43,500 lei. The largest sanctions were applied for the violation of Law 171/2010 on the establishment and sanctioning of forestry contraventions and of HG 301/2012 for the approval of the Methodological Norms for the application of Law no. 333/2003 regarding the protection of objectives, goods, values ​​and the protection of persons. At the same time, 1 driver’s license was suspended for speeding, and 1 registration certificate was withdrawn.

Fish, without legal documents, confiscated by the police

Between March 21-24, policemen from the Public Order Service – Bureau for the Protection of Forestry and Fisheries, in collaboration with representatives of the National Agency for Fisheries and Aquaculture – Galati Regional Directorate and AJVPS Vrancea, acted in the line of preventing and combating activities illegal fishing and aquaculture. Thus, as a result of the 24 controls carried out, of which 12 in territorial waters and 12 at specialized commercial companies (storage and trading of fish and fish products), 2 offenses provided for by GEO no. 23/2008 – on fishing and aquaculture. 144 people were registered, 38 contraventional sanctions were applied, of which 34 according to GEO no. 23/2008 and 4 according to GD No. 984/2005. The value of the contraventional sanctions applied was 16,000 lei. During the action carried out, at 2 commercial companies, the control teams identified 39 kilograms of fish, held without legal documents. The amount of fish was picked up, with a view to confiscation and handed over to the Vrancea Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Directorate.
