A 64-year-old woman, from the city of Plopeni, was detained by the Prahova Animal Protection Bureau, after allegedly throwing a cat from the third floor of a block of flats, which later died.

According to IPJ Prahova, on March 22, policemen from the Prahova Animal Protection Bureau detained a 64-year-old woman from the city of Plopeni, suspected of committing the crime of killing animals with intent, without the right.

In fact, on March 22, around 3:00 p.m., the police were notified by a person that a woman had thrown a cat from the balcony of an apartment located on the third floor, after which she deceased.

Based on the notification, checks were carried out in order to establish the factual situation, the woman in question being identified and detected shortly by the police, and later taken to the headquarters of the police unit for questioning.

Thus, based on the administered evidence, the measure of detention for 24 hours was taken.

In the case, the police are continuing the investigations in the framework of an open criminal file under the aspect of committing the crime of killing animals with intent, without right.
