The American Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, on Thursday launched a call to the United States and China to manage their differences in a “responsible” manner, on the occasion of his second visit to this country in less than a year, writes AFP.
“We have an obligation to our people – and even to the world – to manage relations between countries responsibly,” Antony Blinken said in Shanghai, where he met with the local leader of the Chinese Communist Party.
Antony Blinken arrived in China on Wednesday with a mission to increase pressure on Beijing on various issues, such as its support for Russia, while seeking greater stability.
He began his visit in Shanghai, where he was to attend a basketball game between two teams with American players in their ranks.
