Nikolai Patrushev, the head of Russia’s security council and one of Vladimir Putin’s henchmen, blamed Ukraine for the terror attack at the Crocus concert hall in Moscow, despite the fact that the attack was claimed by the ISIS-K group.

“Of course it was Ukraine,” Patrushev answered a journalist’s question. The Russian official had been asked if the Islamic State group was behind the tragedy. His statements were quoted by the Russian news agencies Tass and Ria Novosti.

The ISIS-Khorasan group, a wing of the dreaded terrorist organization, claimed responsibility for the attack on the Moscow concert hall that killed 137 people.

The US said it had warned Russia this month of an imminent attack. The information would have been obtained following the interception of discussions between ISIS-K militants. The Russian Foreign Ministry, however, cast doubt on whether ISIS-K was responsible for the attack.

The passports of the four suspects who were brought to court show that they were citizens of Tajikistan.

Previously, the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, accused, on Saturday, the Russian dictator, Vladimir Putin, of trying to “blame” Ukraine after the bloody attack. And other Russian officials, including former deputy Medvedev, tried to take advantage of the tragedy and blame Ukraine.
