The president of AUR, George Simion, asked the conservatives and sovereignists gathered in Bucharest to make a commitment that they will not support the candidacy of Ursula von der Leyen for the head of the EC.
Conservatives and sovereigntists from all over the world have declared that the EU no longer serves Europe’s interests and must be reformed from the ground up.
“We have European and American leaders who can unite us. I’d rather follow and trust them as allies of my nation than trust the corrupt Ursula van der Layer and her lying network. All parties in all 27 countries in Europe to sign a statement not to vote for Mrs Ursula von der Leyen as the next head of the European Commission,” said George Simion.
Europe must defend life and civilization, AUR senator Claudiu Târziu also declared.
“Europe must return to a culture of life, to renounce the culture of death which is increasingly prevalent, especially through the ideological emanations of the European Commission, which seeks, for example, to transform the killing of unborn children into a fundamental European right, which provides for constraints and obligations for doctors and in general for all those who defend life. A culture of death that wants to trivialize assisted suicide,” said Claudiu Târziu, AUR senator.
“Europe must defend and promote its ancient civilization which was founded on Greek philosophy, Roman law and the Christian faith. This ancient European civilization is in danger due to the phenomenon of migration. European policies have encouraged massive migrations”, said Claudiu Târziu.
“Let’s hope that a united Europe will emerge”
The European Union is not Europe, claimed Dutch MEP Robert Ross.
“Our continent is in a process of destruction. Our Europe is a Europe where family, community and nation are the cornerstones of society. The European Union is not Europe,” said Ross.

The Make Europe Great Again (Mega) 2024 conference takes place on Saturday and Sunday in Bucharest and is organized by the “Mihai Eminescu” Conservative Institute. The event is described by the organizers as “the largest conservative conference” in Romania. On the guest list are far-right European and US politicians, Eurosceptics, and supporters of conspiracy theories.
