Shannen Doherty is preparing to leave this world. The 52-year-old “Beverly Hills, 90210” star, who has stage 4 breast cancer, began giving up various items and purchases made throughout her life to “ease” the situation for her mother, Rosa , who will have to bury her.

Shannen Doherty is about to die

In her podcast “Lets Be Clear Monday” she said she gave away her personal belongings in an effort to make things easier for her mother Rosa Doherty, should she die soon from cancer.

“The priority right now is my mom. I know it will be hard for her if I die before her.” the Beverly Hills, 90210 star said. “Because it’s going to be so hard for her, I want some things to be a lot easier. I don’t want her to have a bunch of stuff to deal with. I don’t want him to have four storage units full of furniture on his head” – she added.

She explained that she started looking through all the possessions she has acquired throughout her life to donate or sell and is doing this as a precaution, “just in case” something happens to her.

Recently, the actress took a trip to her home in Tennessee to pack up all her belongings after deciding to give up on her dream of living on that property, surrounded by horses.

“So we went to Tennessee to pack one of the places there. It was very hard and very emotional because, to a certain extent, I felt like I had given up on this dream of building a house on this property for me and a house for my mother and then expanding the barn.” – said the actress.

Shannen Doherty: “I’m giving up on a dream that meant a lot to me”

Doherty added that he plans to build a special place for horses that have been “abandoned by their owners because they are too old” or “strayed”.

“This was one of my dreamsshe said as she teared up. “I was packing and I started to cry… I felt like I was giving up on a dream that meant a lot to me. Did it mean I was giving up on life? Are we getting beat up? And my mom was there and she said, “Don’t give up on this place, it’s okay. You don’t have to do that and you can continue.” I said, “Yes, of course I can.”

Through this process of letting go of many of her material possessions, Doherty has learned that her possessions do not bring her as much joy as the moments she spends with her mother and loved ones.

With the money from the sales of the goods, the actress wants to travel

“It allows me to travel more because I make money selling them. Then I can build different memories with the people I love. I can take my mother on vacation because I have all this extra money and I’m not walking around with the money set aside that is for the family after I die” – said the actress.

The star has always been open with her fans about her battle with the disease since she was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015.

Although Doherty’s disease went into remission in 2017, the cancer returned two years later at stage 4.

Last year, the actress announced that her disease had spread to her brain and bones.
