Mihai Enache, the AUR candidate for the Bucharest City Hall, together with the party team of which he is a part, planted over 200 plane trees in the Prelunigirea Ghencea area, giving a slap to the administration led by Nicușor Dan.
After a long wait for the fulfillment of the promises made by Mayor Nicușor Dan regarding the improvement of the environment in the Ghencea Extension area, under the banner “When Ciucu and Nicușor argue, Enache plants”, Mihai Enache, the AUR candidate for Bucharest City Hall, planted over 200 of plane trees.
“After four years of waiting in which Nicușor Dan failed to fulfill his promises regarding the planting of new trees and the creation of urban forests in the Ghencea extension – during which not even a single tree was planted in this area – today I decided to take action and show him how things are done. Together with colleagues from AUR Bucharest, we planted approximately 200 plane trees in the Ghencea extension area, an area suffocated by traffic and pollution generated by cars that have been sitting in a construction site for almost 10 years. Even if he lost the battle with the big projects, we hope that Nicușor Dan will leave the arguments with the sector mayors related to the toileting and care of the trees and follow our example. If we did not see concrete positioning and actions on his part in this field, we demonstrated to him today that things can only be achieved when there is a will. We request that they follow our example and keep their promises to the residents of the Ghencea extension”, said Mihai Enache, president of AUR Bucharest.
The efforts made by Mihai Enache and his team in planting approximately 200 plane trees in the Ghencea extension area show that local solutions can be found and implemented, even despite the inaction of the authorities.
