A hypermarket in Romania has an offer that is hard to refuse for the customers who cross its threshold every day and about which few people know. It will surpass its competition for sure. Free oil is given, but on one condition.

The hypermarket in Romania that offers you free oil

In order to protect nature as much as possible, retailers are using different methods to educate customers in this regard. The goal is also that of no more packaging waste or food waste.

Carrefour has a campaign, initiated from 2022, through which it encourages the recycling of cooking oil. It has been noticed that many Romanians throw away a large amount of oil after cooking with this ingredient. Whether they realize it or not, they are affecting the environment.

People who will bring four liters of used oil to the supermarket in the next period will receive a 1-liter bottle of oil, free of charge. In addition, it is also required that the oil has no residues, is vegetable and is placed in PETs that are sealed as best as possible. The campaign is valid for any Carrefour store, in any part of the country.

A young woman’s body was cast in concrete over 50 years ago. Only now have the police found out who she is and her strange story

“At the time of the exchange, the customers will draw up together with a Carrefour representative a Verbal Process in which the following will be entered: the name and surname, the quantity delivered and the quantity received, the date and place. Used edible oils are considered all oils that are edible regardless of their nature (sunflower oil, olive oil, linseed oil, seed oil, etc.)

The campaign will be signaled at the shelf and customer reception, by means of posters. The organizer will not be held responsible for incorrect/incomplete campaign shelf marking caused by falling off the shelf, damage or incorrect placement of posters”appears in the Carrefour regulations.

If you do not comply with the terms imposed, the four liters of oil can easily be rezuffed. “The organizer reserves the right to refuse the exchange of new oil for used oil in cases where it has suspicions about the contents of the container, the type of oil, the integrity and hygiene of the packaging, not being, in this case, obliged to justify its refusal in writing”is also noted in the regulation.

What happens if you bring less than four liters of oil

If you bring a smaller amount of oil than requested, know that you will no longer benefit from the free 1-liter bottle of oil. However, it will be taken over by those responsible, with the aim of recycling, respectively protecting the environment.
