The County Directorate of Statistics announced that, in January 2024, consumer prices (at the national level) are 1.10% higher than in December 2023. Consumer prices increased by 1.34% for food goods, with 0 .74% in non-food goods and by 1.55% in services.

The inflation rate was 1.1% in January 2024, compared to 0.3% in January 2023.

The turnover in the industry, however, decreases in January 2024 by 6.6% compared to the level recorded in
January 2023.

Economic agents from Constanţa county exported, in the first eleven months of 2023, goods worth 2,024.8 million euros and imported goods worth 3,490.0 million euros (exports are expressed in FOB prices, and imports in CIF prices) . In the structure, during this period the products from the “Fuels and mineral oils” chapter predominate both in export with 42.6% (petroleum products) and in import with 69.0% (petroleum and, in smaller quantities, petroleum products) . Also, the products from the “Cereals” chapter (19.5%) hold important export shares, and the products from the “Machines and appliances, electrical equipment, devices for recording or reproducing sound and images” section (7.2) %). Compared to the period January – November 2022, export registered a decrease of 21.5%, and import a decrease of 19.8%

In 2023, 5,540 homes were completed, 1,367 more than in the previous year.
