Dead cockroaches and mice, a terrible mess in the canteen of a school in Timisoara. It was closed by OPC inspectors. Video of the disaster

TIMISOARA. Almost 2 weeks after the closing of the canteen at Liceul Silvic, the inspectors from the Consumer Protection visited the one at the Henri Coanda Technical College, after receiving a complaint.

They found a real disaster. The images filmed by the inspectors testify.

The commissioners imposed a fine, stopped non-compliant products from being sold and closed the canteen until the problems were resolved.

Observed deviations:
– unsanitized cold aggregates with massive deposits of dust and traces of mold.
– The temperature is not fully monitored in the cold spaces in the equipment.
– the glazed exterior wall has exfoliation from the painting at the bottom, and the angle iron lathe has not been sanitized showing extensive rust and some windows were broken, chipped and not replaced.
– inside the dining room and the storage space for the raw material of animal origin, 3 rodent traps were identified, in one of which there were 2 dead rodents and in the other, insects and kitchen cockroaches were identified.
– hot dishes were identified as being kept at temperatures between 20.8 and 40, 3 not being kept at the legally prescribed temperature of 60 degrees.
– Metro chef cheese was stored in a cold space at a temperature of -2.2 degrees because the freezer was missing a door.
– the calculation of the nutritional declaration was not performed in the menu list
– the laundry room used to wash the tablecloths and seat covers was set up in a totally inappropriate building, with an advanced degree of deterioration, the walls being with fallen plaster and cracks.

Sanctions available:
– A contravention fine in the amount of 3000 lei
– 1 warning

The following complementary measures were ordered:
– temporary stoppage of the provision of services until the identified deficiencies are remedied – canteen
– definitive stoppage of marketing of non-compliant products“, Mihai Alin Gubandru, chief commissioner of the West Timis CRPC, said.
