The plane purchased by the oligarch Vladimir Plahotniuc, with the money of the Savings Bank of Moldova, was registered in the Russian Federation in January 2024. The plane was bought with almost half a million dollars, transferred by the former democratic deputy Vladimir Andronachi to the offshores controlled by Vladimir Plahotniuc, but also another 21 million dollars taken from the Savings Bank of Moldova, through a company affiliated to Ilan Sor.
On December 5, 2014, “Sirmastra Sales” transferred 444 thousand dollars from the money coming from “Universal Project” to a British company, to a bank account opened in Latvia. From there, the money migrated through three other companies, connected to Vladimir Plahotniuc, and ended up on the account of a company in Cyprus – “Seppota Services”.
The same offshore received another 21 million dollars withdrawn from Banca de Economii through the company “Dracard”, affiliated to Ilan Șor. “Seppota Services” then transferred the money to the “Embraer” company, for the purchase of the “Legacy 650” model plane.
The plane bought for Plahotniuc’s group is part of the business category and can carry 14 passengers on board. For their comfort, the plane is equipped with a mini-kitchen, has a small desk and a sofa, and some of the armchairs can be transformed into sleeping places. Passengers have access to telephone and satellite internet.
The interceptions made in September 2015 prove that there was a private plane in Chisinau whose flights were coordinated by Vladimir Andronachi.
Also in 2015, the press wrote that Plahotniuc’s plane brought the president of Kyrgyzstan to Chisinau. He had a secret meeting with the oligarch.
According to the data consulted by the Cutia Negre reporter on specialized websites, the plane bought by Plahotniuc was registered in December 2014, but officially it was in the fleet of an Austrian company.
Over 5 months, the aircraft arrived at an offshore company in Bermuda, managed by Russian citizens, where it was held for 8 years. For a short time, it was in the fleet of a company in Kazakhstan, and now it is in the Russian Federation.
