“When you have a prominent member of the PNL around you and you don’t know things like this, I find it downright hilarious, to say the least”was the reaction of the county councilor Viorel Botea (AUR), former general school inspector, regarding the situation generated by the criticisms of PNL-ist Cătălin Canciu, general school inspector and PNL candidate for Brăila City Hall, related to the tender for asphalting the streets in the municipality won by Concivia – the company controlled by former baron Gheorghe Bunea Stancu.

More precisely, the PNL-ist publicly accused “division of public money” and “feeding” Bunea Stancu’s company, raising questions about the correctness of the procedure, although, paradoxically, the husband of Canciu’s deputy from the school inspectorate, Cici Mihaela Bolovan, was part of the tender committee that awarded the 13 million euro contract ( center photo). At the same time, Bolovan is also the head of women in the PNL.

“Linking yourself to a person, in this case a former CJ president, who, at the moment, is not present from a political point of view, is not on the political stage, shows only one thing: an unnecessary bravado by which you try to actually cover something else. In my opinion, I cannot express myself what I would call this situation. This auction has been monitored so legally there are no problems. I don’t think we are the ones to say, politically, whether something is legal or illegal. There are institutions that can and must deal with such a thing”said Botea from AUR.
