Samsung released the third software update for its Galaxy S24 range of smartphones last night. The update, which is about 920 MB in size, brings optimizations to camera functions and fixes some known issues.
Camera improvements
One of the main improvements brought by this update is aimed at the quality of images captured in low light conditions. The update also optimizes white balance and exposure settings, resulting in more natural photos.
Another improved aspect is rendering of text in photos taken at high levels of digital zoom. This will be useful for image captures that contain text at a distance.
For Expert RAW users, the update brings optimizations for color rendering in photos taken with this mode. Thus, RAW photos will benefit from more accurate and natural colors.
Additionally, the update adds support for slow motion video recording at 480p (854 x 480 pixels) in Instant Slow-Mo mode. This feature will allow you to capture moving moments with more clarity.
Other improvements
In addition to camera optimizations, the update also includes fixes for known issues and general stability improvements. It is also included April security patch.
Users in Romania can check the availability of the update by going to “Settings – Software Update – Download and Install” on their Galaxy S24 devices.
