In a period marked by economic and political uncertainties, Romeo Țepeș-Focșa, PSD Harghita president, highlights the positive impact of the PSD government on Harghita county, emphasizing PSD’s direct involvement in regional development and citizens’ well-being.
Over time, PSD channeled significant resources to Harghita, with investments exceeding 2.2 billion lei, this being the largest amount invested in the region after the Revolution. This considerable fund is earmarked for a variety of projects, including basic infrastructure and community facilities, demonstrating PSD’s commitment to improving the lives of Harghita residents.
The National Local Development Programs (PNDL) played a clear role in financing many vital projects in Harghita under the PSD government. These include:
- Construction and modernization of educational infrastructure, such as new kindergartens and sports halls, at schools in various municipalities, such as Mugeni and Odorheiu Secuiesc.
- Road and sewerage infrastructure improvements in localities such as Plăiesii de Jos and Secuieni.
- Public lighting efficiency projects and the modernization of health facilities in communities such as Sînsimion and Voșlăbeni.
