On Wednesday, Dorinel Munteanu found out his punishment from the Disciplinary Commission of the FRF, after he called the Rapid supporters “bronzes”, in a match played in the 24th stage of the Romanian Super League.

Dorinel Munteanu, warning and fine of 4,500 lei after the racist slip at the end of the game between Rapid and Oțelul
Oțelul Galați was defeated in Giulești by Rapid with a score of 2-1, in a match within the 24th round of the Romanian SuperLiga, and at the end of the game, Dorinel Munteanu made a racist remark to the fans from Giulești.
Even though he apologized for calling the Rapid fans “bronzes”, Dorinel Munteanu was reprimanded by the club from Giulești, and the Disciplinary Commission within the FRF did not forgive the coach of the Galatasaray team for the racist remark.
During the meeting that took place on Wednesday, April 3, the Disciplinary Commission gave Dorinel Munteanu a warning, but also a fine of 4,500 lei.
The trial took a long time because Oțelul Galati tried to challenge the charges in various ways. All requests were denied.

Pursuant to art. 12, 14 Bis and 15 of the RD, related to art. 54.1 of the RD, coach Dorinel Munteanu is sanctioned with a WARNING and a sports penalty of 4,500 lei.” – it is stated in the Commission’s decision.
