The Cluj management has formalized the separation from Mutu. “Following the elimination from the Romanian Cup, the management of the CFR 1907 Cluj club today accepted the resignation submitted by coach Adrian Mutu”.

However, the people of Cluj avoided presenting Andrea Mandorlini as coach. According to gsp.ro, the chosen for the position of head coach would be Ovidiu Hoban, who is a coach in the junior groups. However, it does not have a pro license.

Andrea Mandorlini will continue at CFR Cluj, but in the role of technical consultant.

The Italian coach’s contract with Cluj was not terminated after he was removed from the technical bench, being co-opted as a scout.
